1-What experiences or expectations do you bring to a new job? What happens if you discover you are being exploited?
I expect that I will have security, health benefits, good labor ambient, good pay, an eight hours labor day, opportunities to learn and to progress. If I discover that I am being exploited I will fight for my rights and better work conditions. If that do not bring me results I will quit the job immediately.

The expectation that I will have when going to a new job is to have all the benefits that a employee have and to have the opportunity to learn more and have more experience. If my rights atre being exploited I will fight for them, if they don't respect my decision they will have one less employee because I will not stand that my rights are being violated, I will quit the job.

1-What experiences or expectations do you bring to a new job? What happens if you discover you are being exploited?
I expect to develop my skills and learn from my work and to learn from other people that are related to me. If I discover that I am going to try to solve the problem or quit.

1-What experiences or expectations do you bring to a new job? What happens if you discover yo are being exploited?
The expectations that I hold for a new job would be for it to be beneficial for my economic and career life. I would go with the hopes of gaining experience in what I work at and apply the knowledge received in college. If I find out that I'm being exploited, the first thing I would do in this situation is to get informed concerning topics related to my circumstance. After learning of my rights as an employee, I would take a stand before my boss but, would continue to work nevertheless. By continuing to work it would make clear my position as a good worker and the boss as the one exploiting me.

1. What experiences or expectations do you bring to a new job? What happens if you discover you are being exploited?
When I start a job I first expect that I have the posibility of growing professionally. I would want this job to be a learning experience for me. I would give my very best to perform my duties, but also I will expect benefits, like for example a health friendly working area, to be paid for my labor, and of course above all to be respected by my peers. If I see that these rights I have aren't being performed in accordance to labor laws, I would definetly fight for my rights and if I see that my concerns aren't being taken into consideration then I would quit this job.

I agree with my classmate Pablo when he say’s that we should expect to learn from our work and to learn from other people that are related to us. That’s really important because in a job you should have the opportunity to work with people that can help you and at the same time help them to learn more.

Regarding David O. Rodriguez's comment :
I dont agree with his statement - "If I discover that im being exploited I would search for legal advice and proceed to fight for my rights." - because "legal advice" sounds like he's referring to something that can put the company in hands of the law and I beleive that this is a big waste of time. If you are being exploited in a job, here in Puerto Rico were jobs are so scarce, you have to keep up with it or just quit. ~ no hay de otra >.< ~

1-What experiences or expectations do you bring to a new job? What happens if you discover you are being exploited?
I expect they treatme with respect, they give me a good pay, resonable hours of labor. A good service and treatment and that they respect and consider me has a human being and respect my rights has one. If I find out that I am being exploided i will protest and will do what ever I need to do to fight for what i deserve and what is right.

Comment on David's
I belive that it is the right thing to stay working, and try to fight from the inside your rights. If you quit, another person will fill out for you, and that person will get the same thing that you were gettign. I belive we should stay working and fight for what is our right has human beens, if we quit, we would be surrending and will let ur buss win.
1. What experiences or expectations do you bring to a new job? What happens if you discover you are being exploited?
I expect that the owner trust in my work, receive respect from the employers, they fulfill with my rights, and very important, enjoy what I do. If I discover that I'm being exploted, I will talk to the owner and since problably he wont care, I will do what is needed to stop the person that is abusing asking the other workers to confess that they are also being abused by work.
I agree that you should stay and fight for your right. Now a days there is so much unemployeds, we have to unite and fight for what we have, if not the ones who are abusing will continue doing it, don't stay silent, leave this place or do something, but don't let this people keep exploiting others.
Jennifer Ruiz Hernandez:
When beginning a new job among the things I expect are a fair treatment, good salary, good working conditions and loyalty among my coworkers. If I discover I’m being exploited I would look for alternatives to defend my rights. I would ask for an interview with my employer and my coworkers to present the situations that are affecting me. I would try to reach an agreement and if this were not possible I would resign because my emotional and physical health is more important than anything else.
Jennifer Ruiz Hernandez:
I agree with Isha M. Rodriguez’s comment because I think that what she says about growing professionally is essential. I also agree that the job should be a learning experience and make you feel at ease. We both feel the same way in relation to the action we would take if being exploited.
